Lots of "last times." Last full week of project, last Women's Time, last NOR (Night Of Reflection), last FNL (Friday Night Live), last last last... Okay, maybe I'm being a LITTLE dramatic (haha). On the positive side, they are the lasts, but here, only in San Diego. It doesn't limit us to doing these things just here on project, we can take them back home to our campuses and share them there. Everything we've learned this summer is to be equipped and grow so that we do take what we've learned back home. All project we've had this saying, we want to live everything out and go back home as an "Anti-Vegas." Because you've heard the saying "whatever happens in Vegas stays in Vegas" and we want to do the complete opposite. We want to share with people how God changed our lives and how He changed the lives of others, we want to share all the amazing stories that we got to witness and how He moved through the city of San Diego and share His story. So when I return home, I want YOU to also keep me accountable of that! Ask me about project, ask me if I have shared with people what we did this summer, ask me about living out "anti-vegas."
Monday night we had our last NOR and I went with a few girls to Cafe 976, one of the cutest local coffee shops in Pacific Beach (aka PB). It used to be a house, then it was a school, then a store and now it's a cafe! Anyways, NOR was great, time well spent and peaceful :) On our campus day, since we had our last day at Grossmont, we got to go to UCSD and it was amazing!! Such a big and beautiful school. And when I say big, I mean BIG. Such a nice campus... It's also where Dr. Seuss went! So that's pretty cool. I had such a blast there!
Wednsday night for our project activity, the evangelism team (also known as the E-Team) put together a BBQ on the bay for the community. It was extremely successful! We had SO many people from the community show up, even people that were just walking by stopped and chatted with some of us! We had a few games going, people having good conversations, free food and you're on the bay in Mission Beach!! It was such a blast! :)
Friday was my last day of work! WHOOOOO... I will say that I am very excited to not be in the sun for many hours all day anymore, I think I've gotten dark enough (haha) but I did really love my job. I was blessed to have it and it was a once in a lifetime experience so I can't complain. We also held our last FNL which was very sad but it couldn't have gone any better. Worship was amazing, the games were amazing, the speaker and the MC's - so it I can proudly say we ended with a bang! For afters we had root beer floats... Yum... :)
Saturday was the first day we were allowed to leave San Diego area and explore other cities. So if you know me, I mean if you REALLY know me... There's one place I know you could guess that I would go. That's right. DISNEYLAND!!!! My boyfriend and I went on a double date with two others here on project and spend the entire day in Disneyland. Oh - it was so good to be back on Disney property, my heart was so happy and filled with joy. I definitely missed my second home way more than I thought! I was like a kid going for the first time. And it was the VERY first time for the others that went with me, so that was even more exciting! And what makes all of this better is that 3 out of 4 of us got in FREE!!!! A friend of mine that did the program (Disney College Program) with me last year, who also worked in my location, now does the Alumni Program at here Disneyland - SOOOOO he so willingly used his main gate pass on us and got us in free!!!! Such a blessing. So if you're reading: Thanks Zach!!!!! :D And it was so awesome to catch up with him and compare the two locations and talk Disney talk. You knowwwwww, one of my favorite things to do! :) Needless to say, the day was absolutely magical. It couldn't have been any better.
It was the perfect way to end our final week here. Just a few more days till I'm home guys!!! :) Bitter sweet.

Priscilla
